Our Mission
We aim to provide a sustainable housing solution. We are a low-impact tourist facility providing accommodation. Our cabin is 100% solar powered with rain water harvesting off its roof. The cabin has a low carbon footprint with over 70% of all our building components having a re-use or re-purpose story. 80% of the furnishing has been collected or bought from a second-hand market, or repurposed and salvaged from landfills or a friend’s car garage.
Our Vision
At our accommodation facility, we envision a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, where conservation and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to reforest and safeguard at least 50 acres of forest, nurturing a thriving ecosystem for generations to come. Through innovative design and a commitment to a low carbon footprint, we embrace repurposed materials, creating an eco-friendly haven that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. By cultivating our own organic vegetables, we promote self-sufficiency and reduce our impact on the environment. As we grow, we aspire to attract like-minded individuals, fostering a community dedicated to preserving the planet's beauty and embracing sustainable living.

Sustainable living – solar powered, rain water harvesting and homegrown foods

Drinking water is clay filtered and available in storage containers. Guests are encouraged to carry their own bottles. Alternatively, recycled wine bottles are available for use. Fruits and vegetables including passion fruits, strawberries, potatoes, tomatoes, onions can be sourced from the backyard garden. A root cellar accessed through the cabin floor is available for storage of food items. Honey is also available from our forest hive to sweeten all our cold and hot drinks.

All our hygiene is serviced by a 5000L bio-digester tank which will later provide for our gas energy needs once we have the numbers to feed the system. We also plan to harvest all the gray water for reuse in
the garden.
